It is getting dark earlier every day.... I don't like it, doesn't leave me much time to shoot. I got this one of some of the last leaves hanging on to our apple tree.

No, not a new picture today.... been a crazy day.... this is one of my favorite flower pictures.... and after today's blah weather I wanted to think of warmer days....

We picked a final time in our gardens today.... sad that we will no longer have fresh veggies out of the garden... but at least our freezer is full for winter. 

On another note, I had been hearing weird noises outside our front door, almost like someone was knocking.... turns out the blue jays have been eating our decorative corn..... crazy birds.

Went to my sister's house today for a pumpkin carving party..... the kid's had a blast.... well at least for the first 10 minutes and then they lost interest and ran off to play.... so of course the adults finished them up... I think they came out very nice -

I went for a walk in the woods today with my little man.... it was a beautiful fall day....

This tree looks like it was hit by lightening, Nick is now calling it the lightening tree... he looks so tiny but the tree is gigantic....

And on another note, the pumpkin sitting on our front steps suddenly has some bite marks in it, looks like something is coming by for a little snack....

I have been down and out with a massive migraine amongst other things... I laid down after work and am just getting to the computer... so no new image tonight. I thought instead I would post one of my favorites from the past....

365 - Day Sixty Nine

I had one of those moments today when you realize your baby is not a baby anymore. I pulled into the driveway after picking up my little man from preschool. I turned around to look at him and thought how did he grow up so fast. It seems like just yesterday I brought him home - all 19 inches and 6 lbs 11 ounces of him.

Almost didn't get a picture in today.... since I was pukey sick today.... I know probably TMI... sorry. My little man looked so darn cute today I had to get one in....

I made cookies today, thanks to my niece and the cookies I bought from her, because I needed something to put in my fall cookie jar....

Peanut butter cup and M&M cookies, they are delicious.

I had a great portrait session with my adorable neighbor "A". She wanted to take out her bunny for a picture so of course I said OK.

Grabbed a quick photo on my way out of the driveway as I headed out to grocery shop. This was taken with my camera phone and edited to look like an old film print. Not too bad for a quickie. I love this tree and this field across the road from us. It looks amazing with the farm, fields and the trees with their autumn colors on.

Nick earned himself some new toys today.... why? He finally went pee on the potty.

This little guy must have found his way into the house. I found him on this pot holder and thought he was dead because it was so cold. When I picked up the pot holder to get rid of him he got back up and started walking around. I think he is just too cold to move.

My mums have turned from dark red to this... they look beautiful....

Was almost able to get a fox today, he took off before I could get to the spot.... maybe next time.

Getting ready for winter.... noooooo! But I do love having the woodstove going, the warmth is so much nicer than from the oil heat.

365 - Day 60

Today turned out to be a beautiful day.... it was a little chilly... I was not feeling well so I stayed in most of the day to get some rest.... but I got bored so I baked another apple pie....

I did get out for a few minutes though to get some fresh air... I noticed in one of our bird houses... since the birds decided not to move in it looks like the spiders did. I think they must know how much I dislike them because I find them everywhere.... love the fall colors here...

Headed to the Deerfield Fair today even though the weather looked awful. The downpours had stopped and we decided to go for it. It turned out to be a beautiful night for it.... mmmmm apple crisp. The only bad part... I didn't bring my camera... it was misty at times and I feared another downpour which does not work well with cameras.... 

My little man came home with a new toy. He was in tractor heaven at the John Deere toy store.... he picked an excavator...
